Approximately 30km away are the Sautadet Cascades, a natural result of the work of erosion by the river Cèze which has created potholes. These limestone rocks are 5 million years old. The most spectacular features are the giant potholes; these are cylindrical cavities in the rocky bed of the river formed by the swirling motion of the pebbles.
